I think the admin team for FPS have done a phenomenal job at keeping the game we all love to hate alive.. The nostalgia, speaking to old faces and new ones have been great and I'd love to see everyone at an offline event to share a beer with!
A little bit of change can be good, since I came back in early 2020 the tournament format was always the same and I really didn't see a problem with it. But I think the tier system will allow for more competitive games in both tiers, giving all teams the opportunity to get better together with teams and players of a similar skill.. Hopefully this will create more stable teams in the long run!
I'd love for us to finish at the top of course but realistically I believe the middle of the pack for our first competitive league together is achievable.. We've managed to get a really good group of players and we're improving every time we play. As individuals we're no strangers of playing against teams of this level but together will be an interesting prospect that's for sure.
I believe we've only been playing together for a little over a month but that hasn't stopped us getting stuck in to playing. We all know of each other from playing over the years but this is a first for most of us actually playing in a team together! It started off with me and Steel looking to get something together so we could play competitively, I asked max, he was keen, he also brought in Kalas and we was looking for the final piece of our puzzle and fortunately atom was interested in coming with us for the journey.
The usual weaknesses come from being a brand new team and everyone trying to find their flow.. We're very quickly ironing out the issues though. Our strength comes in the amount of years we've all played the game (minus Steel) but he's improving game by game
We haven't actually spoken about it properly but I would love to go to another lan and if it's feasible for us all to go, I can't see why not.
