FPS COD4 Winter League 2022 - Interview: JEYZKAA (DBEPAINS)

Second interview is with JEYZKAA from team DBEPAINS playing in tier 1 who struggles to reach top3 for many seasons.

1. Our FPS team has now held several tournaments. For the first time we have a tier system with two different tiers. What do you think about this?

I think that the tiers are a good solution. The leagues before Tier 1 teams had basically 7-8 free games in group and only 2 good games. On the other hand worse teams were getting frustrated when loosing to way better teams. Negative point is of course the lower prize pool.

2. You are in tier 1 - what expectations do you have of yourselves and who do you see as clear favourites to win the league?

Obviously we need to name DENIED as favourites again after taking 2 consecutive titles. Other than that the usual candidates with unknown. The expectation for us is of course to try and win the whole thing which didnt really work out well in the previous teams but we aim for the final and take the whole thing.

3. How long has your team been playing together in this formation and how did you find each other?

The core of the team has already played a league before but with different weapon setups. G4box was our first addition in december and we are very happy that he decided to go with us he is a top player in his position and performs excellent. Zinkenbert has changed from AK to SMG since we thought that we needed some change in playstyle. whadez was added just a week ago but his mechanical skill and the potential to break an enemy apart is huge and will help us a lot. I believe we will have a slow start to the league and drop games here and there but overall the longer the league goes and the more people get used to their new weapons, team mates and positions we will only get stronger and be able to compete with the top teams in no time.

4. What are your strengths or weaknesses in the team?

Our strenghts are our patience, experience and the way we usually play out rounds. People know how we play on most maps but still cant stop us most of the times because we have a great mix of experience, aim and smart play. We are also good in analyzing opponents and what their habbits are mid game which helps us adapt to almost every enemy. As for weakness i would say it is our inconsistency and the new lineup, we will need time to perfectly fit to each other and make things work.

5. Do you plan to go to the Croatia Lan, if it will take place?

Yes we are 100% aiming to go to lan and show people that we are stronger offline than online

6. Finally, the floor is yours.

Amazing work, great innitiative with interviews.
