FPS COD4 Winter League 2022 - Interview: FoXx (APES)

1. Hello FoXx, you are considered as one of the best snipers, around for many years now, could you introduce yourself?

Ola amigos, sooo my name is David, and I am from Slovakia (no I'm not Czech), I am 23 years old I study informatics and this year I am finally finishing my master thesis. Besides that, I have a job as a middleware specialist/consultant. Regarding
the game I played for teams such as SnoopY, Cyborg-Factory, Gunrunners and much more, but I barely switched the line-up as I want to play the game with my IRL friends ^^. I won my first lan when I was 13 as a "known cheater" and many others haha.

2. Your playstyle differs from most of the other snipers. You seem to be the one of the most aggressive scopes here. Does this playstyle works against every team/sniper?

Well, I have heard this many times, but I am not really aware of it. I am just running and shooting around while having fun. It is hard to say if it works against every team/player as the skill or whatever level at this point turned into
RNG. So if I am having a good day nothing besides nades can stop me, and if not I would need tier 4 league, especially now. But in general, I would say yes.

3. Based on the previous question. Could you name snipers that you find easy to play against and the opposite snipers that you find hard to play against?

As I said before, it really depends on the day I have. I play without respect, and I am not scared of any player at the moment. But I must admit I am always little nervous playing versus qLi as he was my role model when I was kiddo, so
I am always shaking a bit, haha. I do not like playing versus passive scopes I find it boring, but there is nothing you can do about it.

4. I would like to talk about Winter League now. After some seasons you made changes in lineup, removing Frenk and adding SUNSPINX to main lineup and northzzon as backup position. Was this change necessary to win the league after several fails in previous leagues?

I would not call it necessary for winning, as we have won some leagues/cups with our old line-up as well. But it was necessary in order to keep our mental health and reduce time-wasting in our team.

5. It looks like Frenk wasn't really happy with his removal from team. He stated that it's your fault and you should get an antidepresiva and vodka. What happened inside the team?

I am not here to trash-talk him, as he has had enough of that from the community... Let's just say we could not handle him anymore, and we were overwhelmed by his approach and reliability. People who know him know what we are talking about. He is not a bad player, so I wish him luck :)

6. After 4 games in the group stage you have 2 wins and 2 losses. Is there anyone in your team who deserves to be highlighted?

Yes, me. Just kidding haha, at the moment none of us is individually good, but "APES TOGETHER STRONG".

7. What are the strenghts and weaknesses in your team?

Definitely our team play is our strength, we have spent a lot of time together, we know each other, and we know what we are doing (most of the time :D). Also, we have a very good combo of players, as half of us are very aggressive and the other half very supportive. Our weakness is our effort with no doubt. We do not play the game at all, we only play
scheduled match, and we are glad if we can make it after a week of scheduling it. We also play like a bunch of noobs on the first map because we just jump into the game. This is huge advantage for other teams because they play a lot, and we can
feel it.

8. What are your expectations and which team you consider as the biggest threat for you?

If we play, we win. If we don't, we lose. Simple as that. No threat.

9. What's your predictions for TOP3 of each Tier?

I honestly do not even know who is playing in the league, I did not even know about the new tier system until last week. But there are good teams that play together for long time like Unknown Gaming, so I am sure they will be top 3 but as 
I said everything is pretty random at the moment.

10. Do you plan to attend Croatian LAN with your current team?

Oh yeah, I cannot describe how much I miss offline events. I love it. See you there.

11. Is there anything you'd like to say?

I saw the prediction channel and a lot of people think we are going to end up in the top 3, thank you for that. This community is currently a huge family so let's cut the toxicity, enjoy ourselves and enjoy the game, ily.
